French skydiver Michel Fournier’s balloon that was supposed to carry him to the edge of space 25 miles above the Earth’s surface escaped from his flight crew today in Saskatchewan, Canada. Fournier has spent 20 years trying to break four records at the same time: highest jump, fastest and longest free fall and the highest altitude reached by a person in a balloon. Fournier is 64 and has spent almost 20 million dollars trying to do “The Big Jump.” The balloon drifted back to ground miles away. Wonder if Fournier will try again?
