Willie Randolph was fired as manager of the New York Mets. Not only Willie Randolph, but also pitching coach Rick Peterson and first- base coach Tom Nieto. Wow, three in one blow. Willie Randolph made some disparaging remarks about race and that was the end of that. Swift and terrible came the response. He was replaced by bench coach Jerry Manuel. So how will Jerry Manuel do as a team manager? What do you think? Will Jerry Manuel be able to create a winning team this season? Or is it too late?
